after setting up xrdp with x11rdp and LXDE as window manager (OS: UbuntuServer 12.04.2 LTS), using the script from scarygliders.net
(http://scarygliders.net/2012/06/20/x11rdp-o-matic-and-rdpsesconfig-version-2/) all i see after the log-in is a small terminal prompt in the upper left corner. There's no LXDE Desktop (or window manager) after all. However, I can start LXDE with 'startlxde' through this terminal. Only Logging out won't work then.... A log-in with Xvnc as backend for xrdp behaves exactly the same way. I'm not sure if this is an issue triggered by the script mentionend above, because I also tried this with a fresh install of Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS in a vm, and there it worked without any problems out of the box. Unfortunately, exactly the same steps aren't working on our team server. I'm guessing somewhere the LXDE as window manager isn't properly configured, can you help me please? best regards -- View this message in context: http://xrdp-devel.766250.n3.nabble.com/xrdp-devel-No-desktop-window-manager-after-logging-in-tp4025066.html Sent from the XRDP Devel mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Precog is a next-generation analytics platform capable of advanced analytics on semi-structured data.
