This looks like it's related to the change done lately. make install does not install a default RSA key anymore. You need to run xrdp-keygen xrdp auto as root to get a unique key.
I was talking with Gustavo about this. I don't want to leave it like this but it is a security issue if you accidentally use a known key in a production system. One solution might be to have the xrdp start script check for rsakeys.ini and if not exists, create it. Any thoughts on the matter?
