Hi Boytm, > You have started to work on rail already. > Is rail for windows remote app complete? > If completed, can you tell me how to use this feature? If not, can you tell > me the next step of dev, perhaps I can do something for this project?
Yes, rail is working when using FreeRDP client. Well, when started by hand. I don't have it working yet with mstsc. I would really like if you can help with this. Authentic8, the company sponsoring the RAIL work, uses xrdp / freerdp in their browser hosting service. www.authentic8.com We are in the process of getting their internal changes out to github and into xrdp. Basically, when connecting in rail mode, chansrv acts like a window manager and sends all the window create, window destroy, window move, etc, commands to the client. One deviation from the protocol that we did is to not remote the window borders. MS rail windows always 'look' like MS widows on X11, Mac, IOS. We wanted the native window feel, so you don't really know it's remoted. To get MS clients working, this will need to be completed. I think we borrow some window manager code from blackbox, openbox, or some light weight window manager. I'll start a wiki for rail.
