Hi,

Happy New Year to all.

I am running into problems with xrdp over X11rdp on a Centos 5.6 machine and
would like to ask if anyone else has run into these issues before.

I compiled xrdp and X11rdp using the helpful steps outlined by Jay Sorg in
http://www.xrdp.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=14:building-on-centos-5x&catid=2:documents&Itemid=7
The compilation process was smooth except for when I had to switch from Python
2.4.3 to 2.7.3 and then back again in order to successfully compile the
Mesa-7.10.3 module.

When the machine has been rebooted and xrdp and xrdp-sesman are running, I
tried to connect to that machine via Remote Desktop Client (Mac OS) and got to
the xrdp login screen. After entering the username and password, I got a
"xrdp_mm_process_login_response login failed" error.

/var/log/xrdp-sesman.log says:
[init:46] libscp initialized
starting sesman with pid 1853
listening...
A connection received from: 127.0.0.1 port 48465
scp thread on sck 7 started successfully
An established connection closed to endpoint: 127.0.0.1:48465 - socket: 7

Is it strange that I didn't see messages about "Starting X11rdp... "?

Running "X11rdp :10 -uds" from the command-line seems fine:

Googling and Bing-ing the error messages produced a lot of helpful pointers
e.g. setting the color depth to 16 (didn't help) but I haven't found a fix so
far.
Would appreciate any advice and guidance.

Thanks!
Harnhua
