Hi Juan,

Older versions for X11rdp would start the at the same depth as the
client.  If you connected the 1024x768 16 bpp, the X11rdp would start
at depth 16.
When I added the RandR resize, I switch to always start the X11rdp at
24 and when the client connects at 16, it's converted on the fly when
the image data / orders are sent to the client.
I had to do that because RandR does not support color depth changes.
X11 in general does not let you change the screen color depth on the
fly.
If I'm not correct about this, let me know.
The benefits of RandR out weight the mismatch server / client.  I think.

So if you are using 0.7 or 0.8 xrdp I recomment leave xserverbpp at 24
and set the max_bpp to limit the client color depth.
