Great, thanks for the response! I'll stick with the working setup. I don't know how to port software, or well.. I'm not that much of a programmer :(. I would be happy to help test anything though if that helps. I would definitely love to see the newer version of xrdp to work on FreeBSD so I am willing to help in anyway that I can.
Also, one other question. How secure is xrdp?
