I have built a clean build of Debian 7.5 (Wheezy) and installed XRDP 0.8 using x11rdp-o-matic (See URL: http://scarygliders.net/x11rdp-o-matic-information/). This works fine (including copy & paste) when accessed from both Windows 7.1 using the Microsoft RDP client and from Windows 8.1.
However when connecting from Apple Mac OS X 10.9.4 using Microsoft Remote Desktop Version 8.0.8 (Build 25010) I get a black screen showing "Negotiating Credentials" for about 1 second after which the connection terminates. The MRD log is: [2014-Jul-31 11:09:51] RDP (0): ----- BEGIN ACTIVE CONNECTION ----- [2014-Jul-31 11:09:51] RDP (0): client version: 8.0.25010 [2014-Jul-31 11:09:51] RDP (0): Protocol state changed to: ProtocolConnectingNetwork(1) [2014-Jul-31 11:09:51] RDP (0): correlation id: 9b95375b-28f4-eaf8-da54-e51c02d90000 [2014-Jul-31 11:09:51] RDP (0): Resolved '192.168.1.125' to '192.168.1.125' using NameResolveMethod_DNS(1) [2014-Jul-31 11:09:51] RDP (0): Protocol state changed to: ProtocolNegotiatingCredentials(2) [2014-Jul-31 11:09:52] RDP (0): Disconnect initiated by server [2014-Jul-31 11:09:52] RDP (0): Protocol state changed to: ProtocolInactive(4) [2014-Jul-31 11:09:52] RDP (0): Protocol state changed to: ProtocolDisconnected(8) [2014-Jul-31 11:09:52] RDP (0): ------ END ACTIVE CONNECTION ------ This seems to be a problem affecting a number of people.
