Hello XSLTForms users (and XForms users generally).

I am seeking
support for an project to build an 'Schema Generated Forms' framework
that I've been developing as a hobby for a year.

The project is called
'Forms Wizard' and can be viewed here [1].

The previously completed
work is based on XSLTForms and is available here [2].

The project I am
hoping to crowd-fund aims to both complete the current proof-of-concept
schema designer and forms generation framework, but also to look at
extending the functionality considerably. Adding a more graphical design
interface to the existing XForm based one.

Trying a project on
Pozible.com is an experiment in adding what I think is currently an
important missing aspect to open-source development. Which is the
opportunity for software users to be more actively engaged in all
aspects of projects from the start, both in sharing the costs and
contributing to the outcomes. I have written about this here [3]

What
has been done so far is quite advanced, quite complex XForms can be
generated. But in terms of the Pozible project I am directing people to
a simple demo I have created here [4].

If you have any interest in
this project please register and add your questions or comments at the
Pozible project page.

The key with crowd-funding is to make as many
people aware of your project as possible, to make it 'go-viral'. I am
asking you to help me in this, in the manner of your choice.

To
clarify one aspect of the project's 'pledges', there are two pledges
available for AU$2000 each, these, if pledged, and if the project
reaches its funding goal of AU$8000 will enable me to go to the Balisage
2013 markup conference in Montreal in August. We have been asked to
present a "late-breaking" talk there on the work done so far and its
extension, in Forms Wizard or otherwise. I presently cannot make it to
Balisage for financial reasons and the opportunity came along after
deciding to do this Pozible effort, so it seems a good idea to tack it
on, just to see!. I am hoping, not promising, that the project will
exceed its funding target of AU$8000 by the 2xAU$2000 pledges (making
AU$12000 total) to allow me to go to Balisage 2013 and to see the
planned work completed 'in comfort'. Unfortunately setting the higher
target of AU$12000 might lead to no money being available as its an
all-or-nothing situation, you have to reach the target in the time-span
set at the start or you get nothing.

We are writing the Balisage paper
presently and it will be presented either way, but the opportunity is a
great one for me. So, if you are interested in supporting this travel
opportunity via Pozible or by contacting me directly please do.
Apologies to those who are offended by such blantant begging, but
frankly, opportunities to work on XML technologies in my part of the
world are unfortunately rare.

Sincerely

Steve Cameron
