Hello Habs,

Recent browsers now support FileReader API so the XSLTForms Java applet 
is useless for reading files.

Writing files is unfortunately not yet implemented in browsers. As you 
said, Java applets won't work in Chrome anyway...

I personally use local HTTP servers for saving files and NodeJS is very 
nice for writing a small REST one, for example.

What do you need?
