I'm presuming you have tried 'F1' toggle key when on a form; on which is a
button to open the 'profiler' which allows viewing of the 'instance(s)'
and shows other bits and pieces.
May be in the code that Alain used for it, is the mechanism you could try
implement for your use case, if that F1 profiler was a bit too much so to
speak.
