is the HTML code for "Non-Breaking Space." HTML only recognizes one space at a time - if there are two or five, it only recognizes one. But, if you use the code, you can line up lots of spaces. <BR> (Break) is equivalent to hitting the Return key on your keyboard. HTML ignores "carriage returns" unless they're indicated by the <BR> tag.
