There will be an exhibit of antique samplers at the Biggs Museum of American
Art, North and Federal Streets, Dover, Delaware, now through Saturday, April
3.  The 24 samplers on display range in date from the mid-18th century to
the mid-19th century.  The samplers are from the following sources:

    1 is from the museum's permanent collection
    4 are on loan from Westtown School, PA
    3 are on loan from the state of Delaware's museums
    the remainder are on loan from private collectors

Admission to the museum is free.  However, on Wednesday, March 10 at 7:30
p.m. there will be an illustrated lecture by Deborah Kraak, former textile
curator at Winterthur, for which there is a fee of $6.  The museum is open
10 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, and 1:30-4:30 p.m. on Sunday.
