Simply stitch the next row left to right, making sure that the top stitch
continues to go left to right. Basically you can stitch a piece anyway you
want, but do try to keep the top stitch consistent since this will give you
the best results.

Question for you though- when you say you stitch a row from right to left,
do you mean that you stitch the entire row, even changing each color when
you come to it? While some people do stitch this way most find it much
easier to stick to one color and skip around a couple of rows to finish up
the floss in the needle before changing to a different color. For instance
if the pattern says (r=red, b= blue):

rrrbbb
rrrbbb
rrrbbb,

I would stitch all the red first and then all the blue rather than dropping
the red to pick up the blue on a line by line basis. Make sense?

Yes I stick to one colour and only change if the next stitch is too far to
carry the thread across. But I complete every stitch as I go I don't do half
stitch and then go back along the same row to complete the stitches,.But I
have noticed on my present piece of work that there is a slight difference
between the rows, when I go back left to right, so perhaps I should be doing
it the half stitch way.
