Well needless to say the Spiritdancer is the main project she is
nearing the half way point and I must admit the beads are the best part
of her to date. I love the way the colours blend together in this
project.
I also started a silk ribbon/cross stitch picture that is done on 28
count evenweave, my first attempt at this small, have done 25, so turned
to the inexpensive maginifying lamps that one picks up at the Walmarts
when they were in Canda for under 20.00, but it works.
It is a gorgeous basket scene with everything cross stitched except
the pointsettias and they are done in silk ribbon as are the leaves, and
they stand out much nicer that way. There is alot of metallic thread in
this kit and I must admit the best I have ever used. The kit is from
True Colours and is the one with the Horn in the centre of the basket
with pointsettias around it. I sure wish I knew who made their
metallics, all I do is wet and stitch with long lengths with no
shedding.
I am also working on some silk ribbon embroidery and bead weaving. Not
to mention all of the other ufo's that must be done by summer.
