This is another great question.
My stitching habits have changed quite a bit since I first started almost 15
years ago.
I used to stitch by making the complete x all the time; now I make a row
of \'s then come back across and cross them with the /'s.
I used to use hoops; now I won't use anything but scroll rods and a floor
stand.
I used to just use floss--for example, any shade of lt. brown would do; now
I only use DMC.
I used to be able to fit my stash into a small plastic basket; now my stash
takes up 2 commercial-style bookracks, 1 bookcase, 5 magazine holders, and 2
plastic tubs.
I used to buy a book and do all the patterns in it before going on to
something else; now I have books that I haven't even touched since I bought
them.
I used to buy my supplies at discount stores or through mail-order catalogs;
now I have my own in-home supply shop so I can get what I want when I want it.
I used to knot; now I know better and use the loop method.
I used to frame my finished pieces by gluing them to the cardboard insert
that came in the frame; now I know much better and DH frames them
professionally.
Keep on Stitching,
Kay in GA
