I've not worked on silk gauze yet, but the thought is intriguing! >>

Hi -

I have worked on silk gauze, and it is an adventure. A fun one. I do
recommend using a magnifier for the process. Gauze is a "fixed" fiber, like
Aida - not woven like linen. And each actual strand of the fiber if "finer"
than linen. Thus, your eyes are more likely to "bug-out" because you actually
see all the holes. With linen you see only fiber. Once you put the gauze on
a jewelry box, or whatever you are making, the gauze becomes somewhat
invisible - a different concept from using linen and choosing a background
color.

It is a fun project. You will think of 32 ct linen as "big" and 24 ct as
"huge" when you are done.

Just my .02 cents.
