I personally love to change the french knots to beads. I don't mind
doing the french knots, but love the effect a shimmer of a bead will
do. I have also taken the left over edges of breadcloths, the ones in
soft colours and ravelled them back to the stiching line and saved the
threads and do they ever look beautiful combined with silk ribbon and
basic embroidery. A whole new dimension when creating designs.
When I seperate my flosses and I always do before I stitch. I gently
tap the top of the floss, cut end, and they all seperate at the top and
pull out very gently.
I have also found that running the metallic threads through a damp
face cloth will stop it from fraying as you stitch.
Working on all of my ufo's. Organized them now to get going again.
