Blending filament is the very fine shimmery thread from Kreinik that you use
with regular floss, usually 2 strands of floss and 1 strand of blending
filament threaded in the needle together. It really makes the stitching come
alive. I used it recently, using different shades of it to match each of the
solid color Easter eggs in a basket I was cross-stitching. The only problem
is that it does tend to fray easily while you are stitching, unless you use
fairly short lengths. Try adding it to accent something you are stitching.
