Finished Classic Kimono in March, unfortunately a few days too late to enter
it in the Fuzzy Penguin's contest. Also finished a bookmark for my
boyfriend, when I was too sick to focus on anything larger/more complicated.
I am currently working on a House Mouse design of 3 mice napping in crocuses
(Mother's Day gift). I have finished 2 crocus flowers and 1.5 mice ... have
not done the stems on those crocuses yet. If my guesstimate of the quantity
of stitching is accurate, I will be 2/3 done when I have all the flowers and
mice complete. I've backstitched the first one, and although I'm not fond of
outlining in black -- looks too much like a coloring book -- in this case, it
adds to the charm of the piece.
My portable project is a Halloween banner, which is about 2/3 done. My
at-work project is a small picture for my boyfriend, with a saying about It's
not where you go in life, ... it's who you have beside you. Haven't had much
time for that, because I've been spending my lunch hours either working or
running errands. Sometimes running errands for work.
My #1 UFO is a Mickey Mouse pillow that was supposed to be done in time for
Christmas :( I'm about half-done, so Christmas 99 is pretty much a sure
thing!
