Tina,

Yes, I've started projects for a number of different reasons and stopped
working on projects for a number of different reasons. I used to be more
"concerned" about not losing the investment of time in abandoned
projects...not anymore.

I learned something from all of them. I enjoyed them for the time I worked
on them. Now I'm actually getting rid of them. I held on to them for years
in a vain hope...or an attempt to change my mind. My mind didn't change, so
out they're going. I'm cutting my "losses." I'm not "throwing" any more
time away on them. One will be restarted on linen as opposed to the aida
onwhich it was started (I simply do not like the feel of the stiff aida in
my hands anymore)--this project was 1/3 rd done before going into the UFO
bin. Oh well...while I'm changing it, I might change some of the threads to
overdyed, and some of the stitches as well--now that the threads exist, and
now that I know other stitches.

Which brings up another point, maybe there's something you can add, bring or
incorporate into the pattern which isn't currently in the instructions which
may make for a more interesting stitching time.

I stitch for enjoyment, relaxation, unwinding...escape. Once it becomes
more of a frustration and a drudgery--I may as well clean up the tumbleweed
sized dust/cat fur bunnies blowing about the place, at least the housework
will have some visible benefit.

M.
Time is a nonrenewable resource.
