Thought I would do this now, before I forget and this list goes away. I will miss it very much. Have been on it since April of 97, just after it started up. Have lived through all the growing pains, flames, changes. I cannot begin to list all I have learned, and contributed. This list took me from a ho-hum sometime stitcher to a raving stitching maniac. Just knowing there was a pile of emails sitting up here would keep me thinking about stitching, and actually stitching. Right away I heard about evenweaves, and how nice they were to work on. By that first summer I had taken the plunge and discovered the joy of jobelan. I've found new designers I never knew existed, heard about sales and specials, explored new web sites, gotten hints for what to do with orts, learned there are beads instead of french knots, and found out that not EVERYTHING you stitch has to wind up framed or made into a pillow. The VERY best thing I got from this list is a great group of friends who are with me every day on the pc. Most of us came from this list, some have left, some are still here. My world had grown. I will be forevery grateful to Mary and Monica for starting this up. Critics say the internet is a large and dangerous place, and that the annonymity of it is what is making this country a bad place. Obviously they are not stitchers.... The tools to help us in our daily lives are just that, tools. What we do with them is what matters. And this list has helped me grow and change in my chosen craft more than I would every imagined. I will miss every one of you and your cats and your children and your hints and tricks.
