I've been catching up on some very old digests from this list and I noticed the discussion about filing patterns. One of my other hobbies is genealogy and I've learned a lot about archiving papers. I use heavy duty archival quality page protectors that I put my patterns in and then file them in binders. I do other needlework besides cross stitch so I have separate binders for knitting patterns, etc. This also works for small leaflets. I put larger paperback pattern books with my magazines in storage boxes.
