This is not currently a closed list. I could close it, but this
generally results in more problems than it solves. I.e., if you try
to post and your "From:" and/or "Reply-To:" headers aren't *exactly*
the same as how you're subscribed to the list, your posting will
bounce, at which point I usually get dragged into wasting time
explaining the problem and/or fixing it, or sometimes the poster just
abandons the list. One or two spams a month from the list seems a
relatively small price to pay given the alternative...
