Hi Hugo, idea like having two projects for the xcore and xtext resources including the pros and cons could best be discussed on the existing bug 375337.
Personally I don't see the benefit of two projects and I don't yet know about the 'many integration bugs' between both. You may want to elaborate on these in the ticket, too.
