Thanks for that hint. I removed tla--archive-mirrorp in my patch98.
Now I use tla--archive-type.

It is difficult to split the functionality in smaller files, because
most functions could go to different files. That makes it even harder
to find place for a function.

I think it is best to discuss such cases on the mailing list.
