I would prefer if we all use the same CATEGORY-BRANCH-VERSION, but only different archives. Most of us use xtla--main--0.1 in their own archive and IMHO this shows the relation, i.e. xtla--main--0.1 is what we are all working on. I might create another branch, xtla--xemacs--0.1 specific for xemacs issues and "only" use by me ...some other might have xtla--genesis--0.1. Further, the version should only be increased when making a public release. We should sync and then Stefan tags the version as let's say xtla--main--0.2. Then we tag from that one and continue work on the new version ... while the old one might still get patches until being sealed. But, hey tla is mighty and the naming ARCH-CAT-BRA-VER is just a naming convention, one might use BRA as version and VER as patchlevel or neither at all and a unrelated mapping referring to releases ...
