[Xtla-el-dev] Why the prefix "C-x T"?

just wondering if it conflicts with something?

I find it kind of tedious to type Ctrl-x Shift-t ...
and would prefer Ctrl-x t, i.e. breaking my fingers
by the switch from C to S...
