Well, a long time elapsed since then. We already had a GNU Arch
interface called Xtla, and added support for bzr, and then other
back-ends came, like Mercurial, Git, Monotone, ... It's now called
DVC: http://download.gna.org/dvc/

I looked into pymacs when we started, but the unability to make
anynchronous calls was a blocking issue, so we went for the old good
"command line interface + parsing the output" way, and it works quite
well indeed.

So, I didn't have any more contact with pymacs since then.
