Actually, that
meeting is the result of Mr. Shuttleworth harsh email, he sent yesterday to the art-forum mailing list. Currently, the art team is in chaos and totally disorganized. In the last 2-3 months nothing has happened, in terms of creating artwork. Nobody is in charge and because of this all kinds of ideas are flying around randomly; there are no specifications or guidelines around that could provide direction for artists.
Now, the plan is to take the already available themes and icons from gnome look and kde look website, and fine-tune them for dapper. This is the latest idea but this might change again.
This is in a nutshell behind this sudden upsurge of activities in the art community.
