Yes which is why I am worried. Because I rarely properly shutdown, logoff, etc. I usually just type sudo halt. It seems to occur for me anyway when I log off via the power button at the top right of the screen.

    In xsession-errors I found three groups of warnings:
    Firstly is 3d related (possibly due to my 3DFX banshee which is
    having issues on ubuntu and will bug report it soon.
    Second bunch of errors is to do with Evolution (Evolution is
    running at startup on XFCE.ANy ideas how to stop it?).
    Third is some errors relating to sylpheed.
