I have downloaded the last beta release for Xubuntu and installed it on a
Dell Inspiron 3000 laptop
which is wireless networked with a Netgear WG511T pcmcia card. With the card
installed during
the installation it was detected and cofigured perfectly. Xubuntu has been
rock solid since the instal.
I have installed the tool bar battery indicator, CPU use indicator, network
traffic indicator and it has
improved both appearance and usefulness. Please give yourselves a big pat on
the back as I have looked
long and hard for a simple easy to install and configure distro for this
laptop. Thanks.

Iain

P.S. I have been using Ubuntu since 4.10 on a Latitude laptop. It is now
5.10 and I think that is amazing
too.
