Jozsef,

I agree with the others that perhaps it should be a bit more unified, but I
can understand that this is difficult for the Usplash as you're forced to
put it on black.

I do like the wallpapers, both of them, Viper550's a tad better, but it
could be a bit glossier.

As for the text "Xubuntu" underneath the logo: it is done well IMHO,
however, the colours don't really match, it's too light-blue...

The text in the Usplash seems OK, though perhaps better if you make it blue
letters with black shade?

Hope that helps,

Vincent

I can agree that Xubuntu needs to look -at least- a bit like Ubuntu, but
I really dislike both the current and future artwork (as posted on the
wiki).

The splash theme is the first thing a user will see and it's not very
'artistic' at the moment...

Take SAM Linux for example[1]. They have a really nice, unified, full
screen and 'fresh' default theme/branding going on! From a graphical
grub to the desktop in one unified color setting.

"Press escape (or F2) for verbose mode" during boot is also something I
really, really miss in *ubuntu. IMHO is this a necessity as it can
automatically switch to verbose mode on error/warning...

Harold.
