One vote from me - I definitely agree that all products should be called
Ubuntu - 'some variant'.
For the record, I am new to Ubuntu and Linux, so hopefully I am in a good
position to comment.
This is all about perceptions, and having Ubuntu, Xubuntu, Kubuntu, etc.
gives the impression that the Ubuntu community is divided. I now know that
this is not the case (and I use Unbuntu and Xubuntu), but it is important
to create the right first-impression so as to not discourage or confuse
potential users of Ubuntu.
