Regarding the wallpaper; it is aqua blue, it is an abstracted rendition of the ocean bottom. Anyhow, everyone has its own taste, it is impossible to come to an agreement on a taste basis. Ubuntu people cannot do it since the beginning. The important thing is to have a unified and coherent desktop.
Jim, we use the wallpaper as a gdm background as well, so the dark color you suggested, doesn't work because it would render the black mouse in the logo invisible. I dont agree that we should go back to a certain tone and stick with that for ever. Every release has it own character and this should be expressed visually too. And please consider all aspect of the general look and feel rather than just taking one element out of the context and look at it in its own isolation. This is how the gdm will look like. http://img248.imageshack.us/my.php?image=loginexpscreenshotvy5.png jmak -- xubuntu-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/xubuntu-devel
