I also installed on my PII, 400Mhz, 256MB Ram machine. I finally found how to change the network-manager to allow the static connection, but it sure is NOT intuitive. Whoever would think you can not edit the existing connection, but MUST instead add a new connection. I can't seem to connect yet, though. I can ping using the IP addresses, but not the domain names. It appears to be DNS resolution errors, since I can also connect in Firefox using IP addresses. Of course, I can't update the 24 out of date packages because it wants to use domain names. By the way, the installation on the PII took me about 1-1/2 hours. I believe the stalling during installation might be the processor and memory. On the PII, I stalled at the same point, but for about 45 minutes. - -- Charlie Kravetz Linux Registered User Number 425914 [http://counter.li.org/] Never let anyone steal your DREAM.
