Simon, do you know if it's likely to be feasible to use the codebase of Claws, (have a clear API in a lib) and then write our own GUI for it (even if it takes time or whatever, do you think the devs could accept such a solution so that they can keep their GUI for advanced users and we can try to work on a more simple GUI on our free time without breaking their own app) ?
