(Cc'ing back Jarno Suni as he wrote he wasn't a list member) Hi,

This is already done by xfce4-power-manager. By the way, Cody, did you talk with cjwatson about your "gdm-legacy" package? Afaik, autologin config has changed before 2.20 and 2.26, so the option in ubiquity should be fixed/hidden for Xubuntu. > Cody, does PolicyKit include such things as when the screen should be locked > ? I don't think so (policykit is only a toolkit to control privileges for system services), a screensaver has to be explicitely called. This is done by xfce4-power-manager, not by xfce4-session, and its upstream maintainer wrote that this is a "Won't Fix" and that xfce4-session 4.8 will rely on xfce4-power-manager for suspend/hibernate functions. > Regarding the screensaver, gnome-screensaver now depends on gnome-session, > and if this can not be fixed, it should be dropped ASAP. Imho, we are going to discover more unexpected issues after the release because of the "let's-make-everything-rely-on-gnome-session" idea anyway… Cheers, Lionel > > 2009/8/21 Jarno Suni <[email protected]> > > > Hi > > > > I suggest that you make tray icon default whatever power manager is > > chosen; by that you can suspend/hibernate so that screen is locked in > > resume.
