Since it has been mentioned a few times now, I'd like to say that the 
help-launcher only makes sense if the doc-pages are up-to-date.
Adding a help-icon/launcher with deprecated information (e.g. in maverick: 
"welcome to xubuntu 9.10") is really really bad in my opinion. I'd rather not 
show a help-button in that case.

Other than that I think a single application per task is a good way to go, 
which would make it at least: browser, email-client, music-player, 
software-center, abiword and maybe pidgin.
