    If the user saves it as a compressed jpg file, it will end up looking
    pixelated and not very nice. We don't want that :)

PNG is always good (and is the default for Xfce screenshooter). JPG is fine for us as long as it is uncompressed (eg. not pixelated).

We will naturally resize the screenshots for the gallery for our needs, but I imagine we will also want to show full size screenshots, thus those should be crisp as well.
