Xubuntu saucy-desktop-i386-10-7-2013 has failed to work on the "Try Xubuntu without installation" with 256MB RAM and when I do simple task, like trying to install "htop", this is what happens: http://i40.tinypic.com/2dlm0sj.jpg 2. Test done on Oracle VM version 4.2.12 3. When I tried to install from the Live Desktop, the session has crashed and yet again, it shows this: http://i40.tinypic.com/2dlm0sj.jpg 4. IMHO, it is totally pointless to mention that Xubuntu can be installed and can be tried (Try Xubuntu) on Low RAM such as 256MB and then "it is strongly recommended to have at least 512MB". This 2nd statement defeats the first one. If someone will try to install it on 256MB RAM and this is all what he/she has, then how come he/she supposes to use it on 512MB? it does NOT make sense to me at all. If he/she doesn't have 512MB RAM to start with, then what is the point? are you telling the user it is okay to install it on 256MB RAM then buy another RAM and upgrade your system? IMHO, the Minimum System Requirement must be changed. Xubuntu is not as light as Lubuntu. And, by the way, if you think the user should create a swap partition so that installing on 256MB of RAM could be possible, then guess GParted should be exist by default ;) I couldn't find it on the Live Session anywhere, not even on the search. I could not even install it from the Terminal because the session crashed. Summary: 256MB is NOT the Minimum System Requirement for Xubuntu. It should be more. Tests will continue, just thought to send this for now :) I will send a full report later.
