The wireless connection drops on my HP Stream 11 running Xubuntu 16.04
unless I am close to an AP.
I am currently using a USB wireless adapter with a Realtek RTL8188EUS chip.
But I had the same problem with Ubuntu 16.04 using the onboard Broadcom
BCM43142 card.
I am especially baffled by the same issue even when using two different
cards and drivers.
iwconfig:

This is something beyond a driver problem, right? How can I fix it?
