I installed VLC snap, but I cannot (a built in feature) access any files outside my /home.
I would be grateful for a line by line instruction on how to enable a connection to all disks mounted in /mnt.
It seems though, that a such a sanboxing solution is not a practical thing for a home user, as these days it is normal to have data stored on multiple media. If an attacker can gain access to my PC through the X-11 vulnerability in snap packages, what is the philosophy and what is the point in restricting my conscious choice of accessing data on storage that is under my supervision?
Me thinks I see the ministry of strange steps stepping into more and more departments lately.
Thanks in advance for your help.
