Many people REQUIRE a working Flash player in order to access content
put up on web sites by marketing people who don't know any better.

I keep the last ever copy of Chrome available for exactly this kind of
thing. Unfortunately it's already obsolete, so some Flash content
(designed for the latest Win/Mac-only version of Flash) will NEVER play
under Linux.

Designers are reluctant to use this because the IDEs are not as slick:
too much like hard work. Plus a LOT of users out there are still on old
browsers that have Flash support and no HTML5.
