iTunes is made for Windows and Mac only. The only way to reliably run it on Linux is to install VirtualBox (virtualbox.org) - or some other virtualization software - and then install Windows on VirtualBox and then install iTunes on Windows. I have done this in the past when I used to have an iPhone and it works fine for syncing your library but playing videos on iTunes itself within the virtual machine was not pretty. You can, of course, install software and music/videos directly
from the iPad without using iTunes at all. Updates to iPad should
also be downloadable over the air as well. Good luck! Dan On 09/03/2018 02:44 AM, Hans Burer
