With regard to GNOME keyring always asking for a password, do either of the points in the troubleshooting section here help? https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/GNOME/Keyring#Resetting_the_keyring
As for the system error popup, do you see anything in /var/crash/ ? -- Regards, Matti Pulkkinen From: Nathan Schneider <[email protected]> Sent: keskiviikko 15. toukokuuta 2019 0.09 To: [email protected] Subject: [xubuntu-users] Startup issues Xubuntu friends—first, thanks to all who contribute to helping my computer run mostly awesomely. I'm super grateful. But could someone offer me a bit of guidance on some startup issues on the new version? The good news is that with 19.04, light-locker is working again (no more blank screens on wake up!), so I was able to remove gnome-screensaver. The bad: + On startup, the disk encryption password screen no longer works on an external monitor. It's blank on both my laptop and the external one if the VGA is plugged in. I have to restart to get it back on the laptop screen. (BTW I love the switch from the blue to black background on that screen!) + The gnome-keyring is back, asking me for a password on startup; I would delete it altogether, but I need it to run nextcloud-client and possibly other electron things, as I think Chromium relies on it. How can I get rid of that pop-up? + And then on every startup a system error pops up, but there's no options for seeing the details. Where would I find the logs for that? neofetch details https://www.reddit.com/r/unixporn/comments/bonine/xfce_simple_but_i_like_it/. Thanks so much in advance for any guidance, and thanks again to all developers.
