I have the 'normal' problem - cursor jumping all over the place.
Syndaemon was a miracle on the last laptop, not so much on the current
one. I start it as a daemon, with all different times and options, but
it's like it's not there at all.

shows as ELAN0412:00 04F3:3163 Touchpad in Mouse and Touchpad settings.
Shows as 2.4G RX in HardInfo, supposed to be supported by kernel 2.6.0
and newer according to the LKDDb
Tried with and without "-R"
None of these seem to work, except the ON-OFF switch. Mouse side works
fine (external RF or corded mouse). Syndaemon is loaded (I checked).
xserver-org-input-synaptics installed
Internet not much help.
I don't remember a problem with GNOME, which the laptop came with.
Xubuntu not supported.
