Subject about sums it up. It doesn't require a password but the greeter dialog shows up and I have to hit login. My computer has been set for autologin since I loaded 20.04. I'm getting odd messages from the systemctl status:

$ sudo systemctl status lightdm

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks,
