Ubuntu allows for partitioning
It's the "something else" option during install. I also got a prompt to allow
for encryption of
/home

I even put /home on a different drive than
 / (root). Same for /swap.

You'll needed to delete old partitions abd be due to allow space for uefi boot.
Contact me offline of you want my partition setup.

Subject: [xubuntu-users] Installing xubuntu 20.04 in a 64 bit ex windows box

Years ago, all of the options were spelled out for install. Now it
seems that 'whoever' wants xubuntu installed in a specific way. No
suggestions for partitioning, only full disk encryption, even though to
'undo' it is a major undertaking, and it is not supported will by many
cpus. What about home directory encryption?

wheres a guy to go to get install inst for the 'new stuff?

google is not my friend in this case.

John
