Xubuntu friends, I was surprised when my Impish install was deprecated and
rendered less than useful after the release of Jammy. I had hoped that it
would be a way to preview changes and upgrade more easily. But my local
repository clearly told me no more updates, except security and
deadline/expiration in June 2022.
As I was not satisfied with this I sat back and then decided to force the
upgrade by editing my sources.list. It worked, after a few corrections and
clean up of some older entries.
I am now happily running Jammy, and I will keep track of the sources.list
and how smoothly my system operates. Glad to be moving forward and not
stuck.
Thank you, Ted P in Santa Fe
