I installed the regular old FF, no snap. I would probably look into migrating some/all of that data (if you want it). Did you do any backups from the original system? If it's still active, you can do anything from transferring the bookmarks to a full backup and import (look at the CLEO extension).
Regardless of what you do, do a duckduckgo search for securing FF. There are a few steps you can take to make FF a lot more secure and private.
